Description: When most people in Quincy today think of local radio, they think of WJDA, which has been our local station since it went on the air on 11 September 1947. But the history of radio in Quincy goes back much farther than that. In fact, if we want to trace the link between radio and Quincy, we have to go all the way back to 1921-1922, when radio was truly in its infancy.
